My findlay apiary is down to only one hive at this time. One hive started to dwindle and wax moths took over. The other hive swarmed several times and ended up with a drone laying queen. A replacement queen was added, but she soon absconded with most of the remaining bees. Currently there are fewer than 200 bees left in this particular hive. Wax moth did attack, but I was able to remove the worms. Bees had attempted to make a new queen, but the wax moth worms had eaten through the bottom of the queen cell. Not going to make any attempt to save this hive as it is too late in the season.
On a good note, the remaining hive is currently in 2 deeps, 1 full medium super, and a partial 2nd super.
